Nutrigenomics is a scientific field that seeks to understand how each individual metabolizes and processes various nutrients based on their unique genetic makeup. It explores the relationship between specific genetic variations and how they affect processes such as nutrient absorption, metabolism, and overall health.

By understanding your genetic profile, nutrigenetics enables personalized dietary recommendations aimed at optimizing health and preventing diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions. For example, certain genetic variants may influence how your body processes fats, sugars, or vitamins. Integrating nutrigenomic insights can lead to more effective, individualized nutrition strategies that promote long-term well-being.

Through your analysis, you will:

  • Discover your genetic blueprint for key cardiometabolic risk factors, such
    as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia
  • Receive personalized dietary recommendations and lifestyle modifications based on your genetic profile
  • Be supported in lifelong disease prevention through informed nutritional
    and behavioral choices
  • Gain a deeper understanding of your cardiovascular function and
    promote targeted heart care

General Information

NutriGene™, FitGene™, CardioGene™ and related tests are DNA-based genetic tests designed to provide practical, scientifically supported guidance on nutrition, exercise, wellness, and overall health.

NutriGene™, FitGene™, and CardioGene™ are intended for individuals who want to better understand their body and improve nutrition, performance, and overall health through insights from their DNA.

They are ideal for people who:

Want to lose weight more effectively by understanding how their body metabolizes fats and carbohydrates

Struggle with appetite regulation or long-term weight maintenance

Want to improve energy levels

Wish to tailor their diet or training plan to their genetic needs

Are interested in prevention and personalized care based on science

These tests are also a valuable tool for health professionals—such as dietitians, physicians, personal trainers, and wellness coaches—who want to offer advanced, personalized services to their clients.

No. These tests do not assess ancestry or kinship. Instead, they examine genetic variants linked to traits such as vitamin absorption, lactose sensitivity, exercise response, metabolism, and more.

No. They are not intended to diagnose or predict diseases. They are designed for preventive and supportive use, providing information on genetic predispositions related to specific traits and on optimizing lifestyle and quality of life.

Yes. Genetic tests can be a meaningful “gift of health and prevention” with long-term value.

Genetic tests do not need to be repeated, since your DNA does not change. However, as new tests are introduced to evaluate additional traits, you may choose to complete more tests in the future to obtain a more comprehensive profile.

Yes. Our team continuously monitors the scientific literature and periodically updates the test content and interpretation in line with the latest scientific developments.

Process: Technical Aspects of Analysis & Results Reporting

We use genotyping technology via microarrays, enabling the analysis of tens of thousands of genetic polymorphisms (SNPs) with high accuracy and reliability.

The report highlights the most representative gene for each trait—typically the gene with the strongest and/or most relevant evidence and the highest number of associated polymorphisms. In practice, many more genes and thousands of variants are analyzed, but for clarity and ease of understanding, the report presents the most indicative result.

No. This is not whole genome sequencing. It is a targeted analysis of tens of thousands of selected SNPs, chosen based on international scientific literature and their association with nutrition, metabolism, exercise, and health.

In some cases, we can use an existing DNA raw data file from recognized platforms, after evaluation by our team. Please contact us, as different pricing may apply.

Yes. The results are based on data from numerous scientific studies and are evaluated using multiple scientific validity filters, such as:

  • Replication across different populations and multiple studies
  • Strong statistical association
  • Biological plausibility and mechanism of action
  • Informational relevance for Greek and/or European populations
  • Practical value and real-world applicability

Your genetic data are strictly confidential, securely stored, and never shared with third parties without your explicit consent. We fully comply with the GDPR.

From the moment we receive your sample in our laboratory, analysis is typically completed within 30 business days.

Sample Collection

Yes. Sample collection (buccal swab) is simple and painless, performed at home, and detailed instructions are included in the kit. The sample is then sent to our laboratory for analysis.

Avoid eating, drinking, or smoking for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before sample collection.

In extremely rare cases where DNA quantity is insufficient, we provide a new collection kit free of charge so the process can be repeated at no additional cost.

Interpretation & Use of Results

No. Your DNA remains stable throughout your life. What changes is how you can use the information contained in your DNA to make better choices in nutrition, exercise, and health management.

No. The report is written in clear language and includes recommendations that can be easily applied in everyday life.

Discounts & Packages

Of course. Tests can be combined to provide a more complete picture of your genetic profile. When multiple tests are performed for the same person, analysis is conducted on the same DNA sample, and you may also benefit from combo discounts.

Combo discounts are offered because all analyses are performed simultaneously on the same DNA sample, significantly reducing overall costs. Specifically, the following costs are reduced:

  1. DNA extraction cost (performed once)
  2. Sample transport costs to and from the laboratory (performed once)
  3. SNP analysis costs (more efficient when assessed within the same sample)
  4. Data processing and bioinformatics analysis costs (performed as a single integrated workflow)

This allows us to offer a significant discount depending on the combination of tests selected. We also provide an additional loyalty discount as a thank-you for your choice and trust in our genetic tests.

A group discount or family package may be available when a bulk order is placed. In such cases, the offer is determined on a case-by-case basis after contacting our team.

Collaborations & Group Programs

Yes. We offer special collaboration packages for health and wellness professionals so they can provide the tests to their clients or patients.
Partners receive:

  • Wholesale discounted pricing
  • Scientific support for interpreting results
  • Educational materials and updates on the latest developments in genetics and nutrition

If you are interested in collaboration, you can contact us directly.

Yes. We offer group programs and special discounts for associations, clubs, and organizations that wish to provide the tests to their members.
Each program can be customized based on:

  • Number of participants
  • Types of tests selected
  • Whether a presentation or informational talk by our scientific team is requested

You can contact us to design a tailored collaboration plan that meets your needs.
